Last year we did a lot of training with other fire departments in our area.  We have trained with Grand Lake, Air Guard, Rice Lake, Fredenberg, Hermantown and a few other departments.  We were able to get a new rescue medical truck on line with all new equipment and a new AED also.

Our members also installed a new furnace in the hall which will help save us some money on heat.  We need to replace the apron in front of the fire hall.  This work needs to be done in 2012.  We are having trouble with water running into the hall in early spring and freezing the door to the ground.

We also want to change the light fixtures in the truck bays.  We are having trouble with the bulbs burning out.  We will be able to get a rebate from Minnesota Power for about half of the total cost.  This will also save us 12-15% on our electric bill.

We have had two new members join this year and will have one more in the next month.  We have 19 members at this time.  We still have room for more people to join.  If you want to join ask a firefighter or come to a business meeting on the second Tuesday of each month.
